Clara Virginia (Ginny) Davis Champion died peacefully at home surrounded by family members on September 1, 2013. She was born to William and Georgia Davis on July 17, 1927 .She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Champion. She is survived by her sons and their wives Scott (Olga), Stacey (Dana), and Bradley (Cathy). She is also survived by six grandchildren: Elizabeth, Nathaniel, Davis, Jack, Connor, and Alvis. Virginia was a long-time member of Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her brothers Bobby, Phillip, and William. She is survived by her sisters Shirley, Dixie, Catherine, Betty, and Deborah, and she is survived by her brothers Herman, Mervil, Johnny, and Steve. Viewing will be Thursday September 5th from 6-8 pm at Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery at 2000 Cobb Parkway SE, Marietta, GA 30060. Graveside services will be held at the same location on Friday September 6th at 1 pm. Ginny's family wishes to express to her their thanks and gratitude for her tireless devotion, love, and care for others which she expressed so beautifully and throughout her life, which touched so many. Ginny, you will be missed.
