Douglas Doug Hoyle

Douglas Edward Hoyle, age 47, of Marietta GA, passed away on August 19, 2011 after a lingering fight with cancer. Doug grew up in Marietta, graduated from Wheeler High School and attended Mercer University. He worked at Macy's in New York City as a fashioin merchandiser during the 1980's. He later returned to Marietta where he was employed by Cobb Audiology Services for 10 years. He retired early to care for his mother, Nellie Hoyle.

Doug was a unique personality who was loved and remembered by all who met him. His sense of humor and love for life and people caused him to be cherished by all. He will be missed beyond measure.

Doug was predecesed by his father, Charlie H. Hoyle; mother, Nellie M. Hoyle and brother, Kenneth W. Hoyle. He is survived by his sister, Sherry H. Davy of Marietta; brother, Charles Michael Hoyle and his wife, Brenda, of Ellijay, GA; two nieces, Sydney Davy and Leslie Davy; one nephew, Carey Worley, and 5 great nieces and nephews.

A funeral servcie will be held Sunday, August 21, at 2;00 p.m. in the chapel at H.M. Patterson & Son. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the furneral home. Arrangements by: H.M.
