Elbert Lee Tobias was affectionately known as Daddy, Granddaddy and Pop to his daughter, grandchildren and great grand children and Lee to his friends. He was loved by all that came to know his quiet spirit. Lee was born September 5, 1928 to Mack and Jessie Tobias in Jackson Mississippi. He was the youngest child of 6 children and is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, wife Roselle and his son Charles Pettus.
He attended the Jackson Mississippi Catholic School System before graduating and entering into the US Army in 1950. In the Army he gained skills as a cook and a stock clerk before receiving an Honorable Discharge in 1952.
Lee moved to Georgia in1959. He met the love of his life, Roselle Bradley and married her August 30, 1960.They were married for 44 years until Roselle transitioned home to be with her Heavenly Father on September 25, 2004. He will always be remembered by his daughter, Peggy Washington, his three granddaughters Fredricka, Katherine, Eileen , 5 great-grand children, Jasmine Garry (Henry) JeDarius, Kayla, Carrington and Kennedi, 5 great-great grandchildren, Khalil, Kamille, Khloe, Koryn and Kayden and his niece, Pat Green of Jackson, MS. and a host of other family and friends.
