Elizabeth was the beloved wife of Scott Jenkins, with whom she shared a life filled with love, laughter, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of home through 42 years of marriage. Together, they lived in Armuchee, Georgia, where Elizabeth found her greatest peace surrounded by nature. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Jessica MacKinder (Sean MacKinder); grandsons, Harrison and Liam MacKinder; siblings: Cheryl, Johnny, Drew and Grant; mother-in-law, Barbara Jenkins.
A devoted animal lover, Elizabeth cherished her dogs and cats, but her care extended far beyond the walls of her home. She lovingly tended to the wildlife around her—feeding birds, watching chipmunks, and delighting in the squirrels that frequented her yard. Nature was not just something she admired; it was something she nurtured.
Elizabeth had a special love for the mountains, where she felt closest to the beauty and calm she so deeply valued. Above all, she treasured time spent with her two grandsons, who brought her endless joy and pride.
A Celebration of Life will be held February 7, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at HM Patterson and Son, Canton Hill Chapel, with Rev. Tony Elder officiating.
Elizabeth will be remembered for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and the love she gave so freely—to her family, her animals, and the world around her. Her presence will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
