A wonderful lady departed this life today, June 1, 2012….Evelyn Kelly Lytle, age 97. She left behind three devoted children and a large family who loved her dearly – daughters, Ann Brownlow (Dean) of Marietta, Georgia; Lynn Beier (Tom) of Miami, Florida, and son, Fred Lytle, Jr. (Linda) of Newnan, Georgia. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Chuck, Julie, Mark, Kirk, Shawn, Clay, Shelley, Kim, and Lindsey; 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Mrs. Lytle was born and grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and moved to the Sylvan Hills Community when she was 13 years old and graduated from Brown High School. When her husband, Al Lytle “Doc” died in 1966, she operated their drugstore, Parramore Pharmacy (later Lytle-Howland) for many years. She was active in the Mary Brannan Methodist Church where she was a member of the dance group, the “Just Not Ready Players.” Evelyn travelled extensively in Europe for several years and later, in 1996, she moved to her beloved Huntcliff Summit retirement home in North Atlanta. In 2011 she moved to Dogwood Forest Assisted Living in Marietta, GA. She will be greatly missed, but remembered each day by us all. May God grant her peace in heaven until me meet again. We love you. A private memorial service will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wellstar Kennestone Hospice.
