

Fernando A. Delgado age 79, of Marietta, Georgia passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Friday, September 20, 2024. He was born on August 16, 1945 in Tolima, Colombia to Aristides & Isabel Delgado whom preceded him in death as well as his brother Guillermo.
Fernando was a man whose love for life and family was palatable. He loved to love and loved to laugh. He was one who found a silver lining in every moment. He was the epitome of a hardworking and loving man. His hard work and intense dedication to his wife, children and grandchildren was one of admiration and fulfillment. His zest for life was invigorating. He touched so many with his wisdom, shoulder to lean on and helping hand. He was never too busy for the things that mattered and encompassed love in the truest of forms.
His guidance as a role model and mentor will be remembered by many. His faith in God was unwavering and he lived each day as a testament of the strengths of his beliefs. He loved to travel near and far and truly enjoyed sharing his adventures with as many as would love to join. He believed memories were priceless and that is what his memory for us on earth will be.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Rosalba; son, Fernando Jr. (Paola); son, Jean Paul (Sandra); Daughter, Michelle (Chip); grandchildren, who lovingly referred to him as “Bolo," Brianna, Sabrina, Daniela, Nicole, Ryan, Landon, Sofia, and Greyson; and great granddaughter, Leia. He is also survived by his brothers, Ramon and Cesar; sister, Clara and extended family members and friends to cherish his memory.
A Celebration of Life Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at 11:00am at the Catholic Church of St. Ann, 4905 Roswell Road, Marietta, Georgia 30062. A catered gathering will be held at Chip and Michelle’s home immediately after the service.
