

He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Diann Tuten Vaughn. Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn were married in January of 1953 and were blessed with four children, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. In October of 1969, they suffered the loss of their son, Bobby Vaughn.
Mr. Vaughn is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Rick and Annie Hopkins, Aaron and Deb Toli, and Alan and Kay Lane; his mother-in-law Margaret Tuten; his brother, Travis Vaughn; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Robert and Linda Tuten; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews
Born and raised in Lavonia, Georgia, he was predeceased by his mother, Reba M. Vaughn as well as his son Bobby.
After graduating high school, Mr. Vaughn proudly served in the U.S. Navy for four years. He earned his Master’s Degree and had a long career in Education as a teacher, coach and administrator. He retired from the Cobb County School System in September, 1982.
Mr. Vaughn will be remembered for his love of his family and for his devout Christian faith. He served as a deacon at First Baptist Church in Smyrna, Georgia, and was an active member of the Kiwanis Club for many years. He was a member of 1st Baptist Church of Smyrna
A Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 o’clock, Saturday, October 24th, 2015, in Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 2000 Cobb Parkway SE, Marietta, Georgia,30060.
