Herman Joe Cooper, Sr., age 74, of Marietta, passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2013. Funeral Services will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, January 26, 2013 from the Chapel of Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery, Marietta. Mr. Cooper, born in Atlanta, was a son of the late, Kenneth and Nancy Partin Cooper. He was a self employed painter and a veteran of the Army National Guard.
Survivors include his wife, Ernestine Cooper of Marietta. Children: Herman Joe Cooper, Jr. of Marietta; Teresa Hamrick of Holly Springs; Arlene Henderson of Alabama; Scott Cooper of Mableton; Delana Taylor of Acworth; Tom Cooper of Marietta; and Christa Prater of Woodstock. Twenty-four grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 2000 Cobb Parkway, Marietta, Georgia, 30060. (770)432-0771.
