Hilda L Lowe

Hilda Hunter Lowe, born Hilda Louise Hopkins, on August 19, 1944 from Tucker, GA, joyfully entered the presence of Jesus on September 10, 2024. She leaves behind a rich legacy and the memory of her will be cherished by many. She now joins her late husband of 54 years, Larry Hunter, in their heavenly home. Those that remain include her loving husband, Virgil Lowe, her two sons Major (Ret.) Larry David Hunter Jr, (Sharon) and Scott Andrew Hunter; grandchildren Maegan, Madison, Christian, Adleigh and William; beloved niece, Kelli Hankins (Mike), Dillon and Molly and a host of other loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Hilda touched the lives of countless individuals by always sharing her faith in Jesus wherever she went. Her countenance was a reflection of the light of Christ in her. She served selflessly in her church and Sunday School throughout her life and was a gifted pianist. She was devoted to her family in her role as a mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and daughter. She had an infectious smile and was full of life- spirited, spunky, fun, glamorous and overflowing with love for all. She was the epitome of hospitality with a servant’s heart. Though we will miss her greatly, our hearts rejoice that she is “finally home”!

A memorial service in celebration of her life will be held in the chapel of Johnson Ferry Baptist Church, on Thursday, Sept 19th, at 2pm. There will be a viewing prior to the service at 1pm. The family will greet friends at a reception following the memorial. Flowers will gratefully be received at Patterson Funeral Home, 1157 Old Canton Rd, Marietta, Georgia 30068.
