Kathleen Haffamier Hampton, age 78, of Marietta, Georgia, passed away on January 27, 2025, her devoted husband at her side. Kathy was a woman of deep faith, a devoted patriot, and a lover of beauty in all its forms.
Kathy had a strong and abiding love for Jesus Christ and had been an active member of Sewell Mill Baptist Church and St. Anne Catholic Church. She had a heart for missions and looked for ways to serve and help others.
Kathy was a proud patriot, grateful for the freedoms she enjoyed and the country she loved.
She was known for throwing great parties, where friends and family gathered to enjoy her hospitality and laughter.
An entrepreneur at heart, Kathy found joy in creating beauty wherever she went—whether it was in painting, in her garden, in the spaces she helped others design, or as a home decor merchandiser and consultant. Her eye for design and her passion for creating beautiful environments left a lasting impact on those she worked with and loved. Her career was not just a job, but a true calling that allowed her to bring warmth and elegance into the lives of others.
Kathy’s family meant the world to her. She is survived by her husband, Rod Hampton; her daughter, Sydney Stauffacher (Dave); children by marriage, Brian Hampton (Stephanie), Lyn Bishop (Will), and Sheri Bing (JJ); her brother, Paul David Miller (Judy); her sisters, Ann Hays (Jim) and Lexie Miller, and many nieces and nephews. She cherished her grandchildren: Joshua Stauffacher, Drew and Jack Hampton, Claire and Emma Bishop, and Michael and Sara Bing.
Kathy was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Haffamier.
Kathy will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched. Yet, in our sorrow, we find comfort in knowing this is not goodbye. Her legacy of faith reminds us that we will see her again in heaven.
The family expects to host a Celebration of Life for family and close friends on March 22, site TBD.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation in Kathy’s name to Aloha to Aging, Inc at www.alohatoaging.org/ways-of-giving/donations/ or checks can be sent to Aloha to Aging, Inc, 1612 Morningside Terrace, Marietta, GA 30062.
