Kenneth Wayne Womack

Kenneth Wayne Womack, 64, died December 26, 2014 of cancer while surrounded by his family at home. Ken was born in Rome, Georgia on September 10, 1950 the son of the late Harold V. Womack and Sarah Ozment Womack. He graduated from West Rome High School.

Ken worked for Georgia Power in the line department for 39 years. He treasured his friendship with his Georgia Power family (wish I could name them all). After retirement he worked for the city of Emerson for 4 years. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, and liked to play golf and ride his Harley. His greatest joy was to see his daughter get married and the day she made him a Granddad ("Pops").

The family would like to thank three incredible friends, Susan Hellerstedt, Jennifer Phillips and Beth Smith, who were always there for us.

Mr. Womack is survived by his wife of 38 years, Barbara Houston Womack; one daughter and her husband, Dana Womack McBurnett (Kevin) of Cartersville, Georgia; one sister and her husband, Donita Womack Reece (Herman) of Eatonton, Georgia; one brother and his wife, Bradley Scott Womack (Catherine) of Victoria, Australia; one grandson, Zachary Tate McBurnett, several nieces, nephews, and step-grandchildren.

A celebration of Ken's life will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2015 from 11am-3pm at H.M. Patterson & Son, Canton Hill.
