Kevin Joseph Gallagher

Kevin J. Gallagher, 74, of Roswell, GA, formerly of Brighton, MA passed away on March 30, 2017. He is survived by his wife of nearly 37 years, Dorie; older brother Robert J. of Pleasanton, CA ; younger brother Barry J. and his wife Marie C. of Millis, MA; nephew Eric K. of North Attleboro, MA; and niece Lorraine M. of Aurora, CO.

Kevin graduated from St. Aidan’s Grammar School and St. Mary’s High School in Brookline, MA before attending Northeastern University in Boston, MA. He spent his entire career working for Cabot Corporation in their offices in Boston, MA; Akron, OH; and Atlanta, GA until retiring in 1998.

Kevin loved railroads and travel. He and Dorie traveled extensively throughout the United States and spent considerable time in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, the South Pacific and the Caribbean, traveling frequently via train, riverboat or cruise ship.

A celebration of Kevin’s life will be held on Sunday, April 9, 2017 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Canton Hill location of H.M. Patterson and Son, 1157 Old Canton Road, Marietta, GA 30068. Kevin will be laid to final rest with Dorie’s family in Pennsylvania. Family and friends there will be received from Noon until 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 11 in the Brooks Funeral Home, 406 E. Washington Street, Mt. Pleasant, PA 15666. A funeral service will follow immediately with the Rev. Mark Peachey officiating. A committal service and interment will follow in the Mt. Joy Cemetery.
