Len West Worley

Len West Worley, Jr., beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on June 17, 1944, in North Carolina, Len was the son of the late Len Worley, Sr. and Irene Long Worley. He was a man of integrity, warmth, and quiet strength, whose life was centered on family, work, faith, and community.

Len graduated from Jacksonville University with a Bachelor of Science degree. He was employed by Arthur Andersen and several other firms until becoming a certified public accountant and starting his own CPA practice, Worley and Company, which he headed until he retired.

Len shared a beautiful and devoted marriage with his wife, Linda Pace Worley, for 63 years. Together they built a life rich in love, laughter, and shared memories. He was a passionate sports enthusiast and avid golfer who also found joy in music, dancing, traveling and following his favorite teams. However, nothing brought him greater happiness than his family and spending time with his children and grandchildren, whether attending their activities or simply being present in their lives.

In addition to his cherished wife, Len is survived by his loving daughter, Kristy Cross (Ian), and devoted son, Kent Worley (Carla). He was a proud and supportive grandfather to Ryan Cross and Kasey Cross. Len is also survived by his brother, Bill Worley (Renee), and his sister-in-law, Brenda Shields (Darrell) along with several nieces and nephews who will fondly remember his kindness and sense of humor. Those who knew him well often called him Lindy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Gregory Worley.

A celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 am, on July 9th at HM Patterson and Son Canton Hill Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly ask that you consider a donation in his memory to a charity of your choice. Len’s legacy is one of love, loyalty, and quiet strength. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
