Marge Schnute: We would like to share with you someone very special who we lost this week…my wife, our mother, our friend, a light of warmth. Marguerite Dawn Schnute (Ziadie) was born August 14, 1949 in New York City. She went to be with her Lord on April 1, 2010 after fiercely fighting colon and kidney cancer for several years. The oldest child of Dice and Peggy Ziadie, Marge grew up in New York City in the Bronx, then, later moved to Miami Springs, Florida. She attended Blessed Trinity Catholic School and Miami Springs Senior High School where she was a cheerleader and graduated with honors. Marge was proud to have been a theatrical dance major and graduate of Florida State University. There she met and fell in love with her devoted and loving husband of 38 years, Greg Schnute. After getting married in 1972, they made homes in Tallahassee, Nashville, Birmingham, and for the last 18 years, in Marietta, GA. Marge was a dancer, a performer, a homemaker extraordinaire and an amazing mother! She filled her adult years enjoying gardening, fundraising for her kid’s athletics, playing tennis, and being a friend to others. Because of her love of her children, she spent hours of her own time volunteering at their schools including Green Valley Elementary in Hoover, AL and Lassiter High School in Marietta, GA. Devoted deeply to her family she is survived by her husband Greg and four wonderful children; daughter, Kim Wallace, her husband Lynn, and their children, Skylar and Cullen; daughter, Kelly Wiedower, her husband Marcus, and their children, Annabelle, Kennedy, and Cade; son, Air Force Captain Brock Schnute and his wife Kaili; and daughter, Brandi Sparks, her husband Jeff and their son, Jackson. Marge is also survived by her loving and devoted mother, Peggy Ziadie of Bonita Beach, FL; sister, Chris Ziadie of Houston, TX; brother, Tex Ziadie and his wife , Linda of Miami Springs, FL; brother, Jaime Ziadie and his wife Sandie of Bonita, FL; sister-in-law, Becky Menke and husband, Hank of Huntingburg, IN. Marge will be remembered as a radiant spirit. She was an angel from God in the truest sense of the word. A messenger sent into our lives to bring brightness and joy. She loved her Lord and we are confident that she is with Him now. We look forward to the day we are reunited with her. Remember, Marge is not gone. She is alive! Jesus said that whoever believed in Him and lived would never die. She never will! We love you Marge! A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, April 6th at 1 pm at Transfiguration Catholic Church with Msgr. Patrick Bishop officiating. Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 5th from 4-7:30 pm with a prayer service at 7:30 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to www.kanziuscancerresearch.org. If sending flowers, please remember Marge’s love of plants – especially gardenias, due to their blooming around her birthday.
