Maria Filomena Apanay Delaconcha

Maria graduated from the University of the East with a degree in Business Administration, Majoring in Accounting. She worked at Georgia’s Own Credit Union for thirty-three years and retired when she was fifty-six years old.

In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time outside maintaining and landscaping her back yard, playing mahjong with friends and family and spending quality time with her two grandsons.

Filomena is survived by her spouse, Eddie; daughters, Gina & Irene; brothers and sister, Manolo, Julian and Dolores; grandchildren, Edward and Alex and extended family and friends to cherish her memory.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Ely.

A Memorial Service to honor Mrs. Delaconcha will be held on March 14, 2024 at 1:00pm at Holy Family Catholic Church 3401 Lower Roswell Road, Marietta, Georgia with a reception to follow in the parish center.
