Marjorie Agerton Hightower

Mrs. Marjorie Agerton Hightower, of Marietta, Georgia, 86, died Monday, December 20th, 2021. She was born in Gadsen County, Quincy, Florida. She worked for Sears Department Store, for 28 years and successfully owned and operated a DUI school for 15 years in Acworth, GA. She graduated from Gadsden County High School, in May of 1954. During her working career, she also served as President of the ABWA, the American Business Women’s Association.

She was preceded in death by her beloved Husband, Louis Hightower & their Daughter, Vicky Hightower; her parents Howard & Gladys Wilcox Agerton; Brother, Howard Agerton & Sisters, Annie James & Shirley Wood.

Mrs. Hightower is survived by her Daughter & Son-In-Law, Donna and Jeffrey Hightower and their children Vince & Victoria; Grandchildren & Great-Grandchildren; Lacy & Jonathan Rookes, with their children, Lily Blake and Callaway Rookes; Austin & Carrie Hylton, with their children Grandstepsons; Chandler & Grayson Menz, Cassidy & Coltyn. Alex & Maddison Redfern and their Wyatt.

The family will receive friends at Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 2000 Cobb Parkway SE, Marietta, Georgia, 30060, on Monday, December 27th, 2021, from 11:00 o’clock to 12:00 o’clock. Mrs. Hightower will be laid to rest, at the Noon-hour, during a Graveside Service, on the grounds of Georgia Memorial Park.
