

Parker Brett Petit was born in Nashville Tennessee June 22, 1998, and passed away at the age of 27 on September 12, 2025. He is the beloved son of William ‘Bill’ Petit and Kathryn ‘KK’ Knox and beloved brother to Amanda and Nat Petit.
Parker attended Mt. Paran Christian School and graduated from Kennesaw Mountain High School where he earned a Varsity Letter in Lacrosse. He completed EMT training at the Emergency Educational Institute Pompano Beach, FL. Parker also attended RCM Maritime, LLC in Charleston, SC and is certified in Basic Fire Fighting, AED instructor, and CPR instructor. Certifications through the U.S. Coast Guard include Able Seaman, STCW, RFPNW, and Personal Survival Craft. In addition to his expertise as a Seaman, Parker had a passion for SCUBA diving and received many certifications including Open Water Scuba Instructor, Divemaster, Master Scuba Diver Trainer, and six additional specialty instructor certifications. He was lucky enough to dive in some amazing places including Utila, Honduras, Davey Jones Locker in Koh Tao, Thailand and Admiralty in St. Thomas USVI.
Parker’s most recent work was as a field guide in a wilderness therapy program for teens needing mental health treatment. As a field guide, Parker’s strengths of love, compassion, courage, dedication and selflessness were fully utilized. He touched the lives of many teens for the better and helped them navigate life’s challenges. Parker was a 4th generation Eagle Scout, and we know he was using those skills in the field to always help other people making the world a better place.
In addition to his parents and siblings, Parker is survived by his grandfather Pete Petit, Grandmother JoAnn Durham, Aunts Patricia, Meredith, Maureen, Christine and Uncles Russell, Alex, Todd and Michael along with cousins James, David, Sarah, Jessica, Sarah Kate, Christopher, Julianne, Jack and Charlie.
Celebration of Life Will be held Sunday October 5th at Sanctuary Church 700 Mars Hill Road Kennesaw, GA 30152. 2:00 visitation 3:00 Celebration of Life
