Mr. Richard Rick F. Porter

Richard (Rick) was born April 19, 1963, in Pinson, Al to William R. Porter and Emily Herndon Stevens and moved to Atlanta in 1985. Rick’s life would seem too short to many, but Rick touched those around him with his enthusiasm and love for his family and friends. He did not take life for granted; he lived every moment of his life to the fullest.

Although Rick left us suddenly, he gave us courage and hope and reminded us how precious life is. Rick’s passion for his family, friends, hard work, and Auburn University reminded us of his amazing love that he blessed us all with.

Rick is survived by his loving wife Stacey; son, Jared Richard and daughters Raegan Corrine and Riley Christine; father William of Columbia, SC; mother-in- law Carol Hopfner; sisters Terry, Natalie, and Melanie.

The family will receive friends Tuesday at the HM Patterson & Son Funeral Home in Marietta, GA from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 14, at The Catholic Church of St. Ann in Marietta, GA. Burial will be in the Arlington Memorial Park in Sandy Springs, GA.
