

She moved to Atlanta at the age 17 where she was employed by the phone company as a telephone operator.
Ruth met her husband, the late Author Hall, while she and her sister were visiting the VA Hospital to cheer up the soldiers. They settled in Tucker and were married for 50 years.
Many different interests filled her life while raising her family. She was a long-time member of 1st Baptist Church of Tucker, GA, sang in the senior choir, enjoyed ceramic classes, and later was a member of Johnson Ferry Baptist Church after moving to the Marietta area.
Grandmother Hall, as she was known to her family, was an avid Braves fan, loved traveling (especially in the mountains to see the fall foliage), playing the piano and singing hymns, and later in life became first a Texas Aggie fan and then an Ole Miss fan, also.
Ruth was a 30 year Breast Cancer survivor. She was a prayer warrior for many and supporter of the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Author Hall.
She is survived by her children, Arthur L. Hall of Winter Park, FL, Joan Hall Roebuck of Sugarland, TX, and Joyce Hall Harris of Marietta, GA
She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Lane Marie Roebuck, Dana Brook Roebuck Younger, Madison Tarrington Harris, Candler Montgomery Harris, Sheridan Elizabeth Hall Greenhaw, Kelly McClure Hall Webb, and Virginia Cook Hall Iannucci. Additionally, she has 9 great-grandchildren, Austin C. Howard, Jacob D. Howard, Vincent A. Iannucci, Caroline Noelle Younger, William Matthew Younger, Dylan Michael Webb, Gabrielle Marie Webb, Ian William Hall, and Devin Hartzell.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Disabled American Veterans and Halcyon Hospice House.
