Aunt Sarah
Sharing a memory of her can only be stated in one way.  To be associated  with her for over 70 years is so exceptional.  I can truly say that I grew up and around her and the family and there weren't many times that we didnt see her and visit with her either at a reunion  or just to drop in .  She always welcomed all my family and treated os with the utmost  love    and kindness . She throughfully enjoyed being around the family  always and encouraged us to visit. A very special lady is no longer with us physically  but will always be in our heart and spiritually  close by.  
Connie,Yvonne, and Elaine  you are so blessed to have had her as your mother.
She is definitely  in a sacred place now and I looked forward to seeing  you there someday.
I am so heartbroken  that I could not come to the service in person.  The pandemic has  put a lot of restriction  on us. I will be there spiritually.

I am so sorry for your loss. I always looked forward to seeing her at the reunions. If not for this terrible virus we would certainly be there. I pray it ends soon. Her generation was for sure the greatest ever. Sending my love and hope your precious memories will be a comfort to you all.



I would like to express the great loss to myself and the entire family. Sarah was my Aunt, my friend and confidant, someone that I enjoyed visiting and we had many great conversations over the phone. She was opinionated and straight forward but did not hold grudges, this in itself is a true rarity these days. She was raised in the great depression, married during WWII and raised a wonderful family, I will always Love and miss her. 

Family I love Sarah so much. She will never truly leave us because she is in our hearts. I loved our visits ,all day. We even went to Smyrna thrift once. We would talk for hours on the phone. She always talked about her family . Those great grandbabies made her light up. We talked about Uncle Bud and Aunt Lizzie, Granny and Mama Nanna Lou.We talked about her handsome Soldier she waited to marry and their love.  I learned more about her family in the last few years than I ever knew because us kids were in the yard playing.  I have told so many people about her and how strong she was. I know your heart ache but remember how strong she was. She always encouraged people to be strong and love God. She really loved her church. I love you Lela

Dear Family,
Sarah, or Sook as I called her was so precious, and I miss her already.  We always talked for at least an hour when we talked on the phone.  She and I enjoyed talking about the old days.  She and Mama (Nannie Lou) were so close growing up.  She and I became close over the past couple of years.  She had a heart of gold, she was a true Christian lady that loved the Lord, her family, and her church.  She always bragged about her children and grandchildren.  One day we'll all be together again, she's already there waiting for the rest of us to get there.  Love you all.

My parents, Sam and Marie Walker, thought the world of her and I know they are rejoicing in heaven together, along with the other cousins.

Aunt Sarah was one of the most genuine, loving ,and feisty women I ever had the privilege of knowing. Her chicken and dumplings were the absolute best and her spunky tenacity inspired me to have my own! I’m a better person because she loved me!! I’m so sorry for her passing away but I know she’s in Heaven rejoicing with many dear loved ones! May God bless and comfort you all during this time!  ❤️🙏🏻
