His survivors include, his beloved wife of sixty years, Brenda D. Hunter; a daughter, Sherri E. Hunter of Smyrna, Georgia, and a son, Glenn K. Hunter of Cary, North Carolina; a sister, Doris Crout of Neptune, Florida; two grandchildren, Michael and Matthew Hunter of Cary, North Carolina; three nephews; and one niece.
Bucky was born in Augusta, Georgia, on January 19th, 1940. He was the son of the late Talmadge E. and Pearl Virginia (Lott) Hunter, Sr. of Savannah, Georgia. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard, worked in the Metal Industry for over thirty years and retired as a realtor with Meybohm Realtors, in Augusta, Georgia. Bucky was a Past Master with Solomon’s Lodge No 1 F.&A.M., in Savannah, Georgia; a 32 degree Scottish Rite Mason, and a Shriner, with the Alee Temple. He attended Highest Praise Church of God.
Bucky’s family will place him to rest, during a Graveside Service, at 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 7th, 2025, on the grounds of Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 2000 Cobb Parkway South, Marietta, Georgia, 30060. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to the funeral hour of 2:00 PM.
