Mr. Thomas Harold Booth, age 88 of Ellijay, passed away Saturday, February 5, 2011. Mr. Booth was a member of the VFW Post 2681 and was of the Baptist faith. He was a coach for the Senior Little League and Connie Mack baseball leagues and was very involved in activities at Mt. Bethel Community Center. He will be remembered as a loving husband and father and will be deeply missed.
Mr. Booth was predeceased by his wife Mary Smithwick Booth and daughter Betty Jo Steadman. He is survived by sons John T. Booth of Ellijay, James L. Booth of Marietta, Jerry L. Booth and wife Brenda C. Booth of Ellijay; brother Cecil Booth; sisters Emarine Neese, Virginia Luttrel and Wynell Booth; and numerous grand, great-grand, and great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at 11:00am at the chapel of Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 7, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the funeral home.
