Vivian Wylene Reed

She was a charter member of Eastside Baptist Church where she served her Lord, teaching youth, playing the piano for a youth choir and music secretary prior to entering nursing school.

She was a graduate of Sprayberry High School, Class of 1956 and Kennesaw College School of Nursing Class of 1979. She worked at Kennestone Hospital in the Oncology Unit for ten years prior to working and retiring from the Department of Treasury Medical Department in 2004.

Vivian married James M. Reed, Sr. on September 8, 1956. Together they were blessed with 69 wonderful years of marriage.

She was a devoted mother of three children: James Jr. ( Millie), Donna Rogers (Hal), and Ellen Weissman (Jack).

She was the loving grandmother of Melanie Ballew (Sam), Tyler Crump, Harris Reed, Melissa Cox (Jacob), Margaret Matthews (Hunter) and Teryl Levine (Andrew) and she adored her 4 great grandchildren.

Vivian is also survived by three brothers and two sisters. She is preceded in death by her father, mother and 3 sisters.

A visitation will be held at H.M. Patterson & Son-Canton Hill, located at 1157 Old Canton Road Ne, Marietta, GA 30068, on February 6, 2026, from 10:30 am to 11:30 am.

The funeral service will follow at the same location at 11:30 am on February 6, 2026. Interment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Gardens.
