William Thomas “Bill” Bradfield, age 68, of Marietta, Georgia, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2025. A beloved husband, father, and friend, Bill lived a life marked by quiet strength, integrity, and devotion to the people and passions he loved most.
Born in 1957 to William E. Bradfield and Carolyn M. Bradfield, Bill grew up in LaGrange, Georgia, where he graduated from LaGrange High School. He went on to attend the University of Georgia, earning both a BBA and Master of Accountancy from the J.M. Tull School of Accounting in 1980—a place that would remain close to his heart throughout his life.
Bill dedicated his professional life to the field of accounting, culminating in his retirement from Rödl & Partner (formerly Rödl Langford de Kock), where he was known for his precision, work ethic, and mentorship.
Outside of work, Bill found joy in the simple and enduring pleasures of life: a well-played round of golf, a good book, cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs, and collecting University of Georgia memorabilia—a true Dawg through and through.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William and Carolyn Bradfield, and his brother, Robert L. Bradfield. He is survived by his loving wife, Joan G. Bradfield, and their two sons, William J. Bradfield and Benjamin T. Bradfield, who were his greatest pride.
Bill’s quiet wisdom, steady presence, and warm smile will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In honor of Bill’s life and legacy, memorial contributions may be made to the J.M. Tull School of Accounting at the University of Georgia, a place that helped shape the man he became. https://gail.uga.edu/commit?des=81696000&hideack=1)
