Bill was a graduate of Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois and a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He was honorably discharged as a First Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps. He retired from IBM Corporation after two decades, operating as sole proprietor in real estate and contracting. He was an Indy 500 race enthusiast who enjoyed golf and travel. He was an avid reader of fiction and enjoyed films, especially Westerns.
He is survived by his children, Bridgy Ann Lytle, Donni Ann (Phil) Stengel, Cristy Ann (David) Lytle, Terri Ann Nearmyer, Karie Ann (Paul) Molchan, William Matthew (Amy) Lytle, Michael James (Jennifer) Lytle; grandchildren, Casey and Matt, Logan and Brent, Alexander and Nicholas, Winter, Luke, Hannah, Michael, and Samuel; sister, JoAnn Beggs; wonderful nieces, nephews, and close cousins.
A private family memorial service will be held. H. M. Patterson & Son, Canton Hill Chapel.
