Carl Edward Joyner

Carl Edward Joyner, 56, of Old Fort, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2011. He was born August 2, 1955 to the late Albert Joyner, Sr. and Mildred Louise Boyce Joyner. He was a member of Catawba View Baptist Church in Old Fort, he was an active member of Sunday School in his youth, and help work on the present church building, and was active in helping people in the community.

He is survived by three brothers; Albert Joyner, Jr., wife Renee, of Asheville, Glenn Joyner, wife Lucille of Nebo, William Joyner, wife Martha, of Nebo, five sisters; Mary Greenlee, of Raleigh, Dinah Pearson, of Old Fort, Betty Greenlee, husband Ronald, of Old Fort, Jessie Roberts, of Norfolk, VA, and Jerline Sykes, husband Sam of Hampton, VA, and a host of nieces nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 15, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Catawba View Baptist Church, visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Campground Cemetery.
