Christine Walls Turner

Mrs. Christine Walls Turner, 55, of Marion, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, September 3, 2014, while at her residence. Born December 7, 1958, in Forsyth County, she was a daughter of the late Guy Walls, Sr. and Della Ledford Walls. Mrs. Turner was a homemaker. She loved being the grandmother of her two very special granddaughters.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of thirty years, Dwayne Elvis Turner, of the home;

A son, Kevin Dwayne Turner & wife Courtney, of Marion;

Two brothers, Billy Ledford & Guy Walls, Jr. both of Marion;

Two sisters, Darlene Whitson, of Marion and Patsy Hunnicutt, of Milledgeville, GA;

Two granddaughters, Kylin & Harper Turner;

Several nieces and nephews will also cherish her memory.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Turner will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, September 5, 2014, at the Yancey Street Baptist Church with Reverends Ray Stockton and Dean Owenby officiating. Interment will follow at the McDowell Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mrs. Turner’s memory to Hospice of McDowell County, 575 Airport Road, Marion, NC 28752.
