Corrine Miller Rodgers, age 81, of Marion, NC, passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at Rose Hill Retirement Home surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Rodgers was born October 14, 1933, in Pasadena, California, to the late Frank Miller and Portia Tefft Miller.

She was a Methodist and a woman of deep faith and she loved to share her faith with everyone she met! Mrs. Rodgers enjoyed the outdoors and loved sailing, gardening and birdwatching. She was known to have many bird feeders and especially enjoyed watching the hummingbirds.

Corrine had a smile that was contagious and she could light up a room. She absolutely adored little children and babies and they were drawn to her warm and loving spirit. She cherished the times she could spend with them when they visited her at Rose Hill Retirement Home. Mrs. Rodgers also loved her miniature longhaired Dachshund named “Cookie”.

Most of all, Corrine loved her family. They were her greatest joy.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Charles A. Rodgers and a brother, Clay Miller.

Surviving Mrs. Rodgers are her children, Cindi Romanelli and husband Frank of Nebo, NC, Chip Rodgers and wife Twanette of Niceville, FL, Carolyn Rodgers of North East, MD, and Cathie Staton and husband Mark, of Niceville, FL.; 10 grandchildren, Chris Romanelli, Amber Roberts, Daniel Fisher, Carla Staton, Mark Fisher, Joe Fisher, Portia Rodgers, Julie Staton, Cole Rodgers, and Luke Fisher; and three great-grandchildren, Aidan, Lexi, and Reed Romanelli.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 4, 2015 at Rose Hill Retirement Home with the Pastor Richard Magnuson of Nebo Methodist Church presiding.

The family is eternally grateful for the loving care given to Corrine by the staff at Rose Hill Retirement Home and Hospice of Rutherford County.
