Edith Wilson Lloyd

Mrs. Lloyd was born March 10, 1927, in McDowell County, NC to the late Bryan and Dora Effler Wilson.

Edith had worked at Carolina Shoe for a number of years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, William Ruggles Duncan and Arthur Lloyd; seven sisters, Bonnie Loftis, Frances Ballew, Martha Wilson, Pearl Pirrwitz, Minnie Whisnant, Dovie Laughridge and Sara Lane.

Surviving Mrs. Lloyd are her son and daughter in law, Ted and Judy Duncan of Marion; two brothers, Jack Wilson (wife, Mildred) and Jerry Wilson; three sisters, Evelyn Alberts, Wilma Szabo and Elizabeth Nichols; she is also survived by numerous other relatives.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at 11:00 AM in McCall Memorial Chapel at Kirksey Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Coy Jeans officiating. Burial will follow at McDowell Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at the funeral home from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
