Evangeline Angie "Angie" Edwards

Evangeline V. Edwards, 60, of Union Mills, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at Hospice House of Rutherford County. She was born June 25, 1951 in Manila, Philippines to the late Lamuel Pacheco and Sephinra Villinua Pacheco. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her brother.

Mrs. Edwards loved attending church. She did not favor any particular church; she loved many churches. She was also an active member of the YMCA.

Surviving are her husband, Melvin Edwards of the home; two sons, Mark Edwards of Marion, NC and Mickey Edwards and wife, Missy of Burnsville, NC; a daughter, Cynthia Ann Edwards of Burnsville, NC; and eight grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Friday, October 21, 2011 at Kirksey Funeral Home in Marion. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 22, 2011 in McCall Memorial Chapel at Kirksey Funeral Home in Marion with Pastor Clifford Willis officiating.
