Hazel Ann Morgan Arrowood

Hazel was born July 8, 1936 in McDowell County, NC to the late Moses Fred and Cretia Jane Morgan. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Walter Allen Arrowood. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

Surviving Hazel are one son, Robert Allen Arrowood of Marion, NC; two daughters, Katherine Coffey and husband, Daniel of Marion, NC and Annettia Brooks of Marion, NC; one sister, Doris Brooks of Morganton, NC; four granddaughters, Shirley Mace, Andrea Arrowood, Annette Brooks-Bonham and Rebecca Smith; and five great-granddaughters, Breann Bonham, Zoie Maney, Maggie and Savannah Smith and Cadence Bonham. Also surviving Hazel are her beloved church family and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at Kirksey Funeral Home in Marion. A Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 PM with Rev. Jimmy Upton and Rev. Jim Ledford officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
