Jeffrey John Evans, age 63, of Marion, NC, passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Hospice House of Rutherford County, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on October 19, 1953, in Pittsburgh, CA, to the late Robert Evans and Beverly Price Evans. Mr. Evans worked as a RN for many years before his illness.

Mr. Evans was a wonderful person, who loved helping people. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved riding motorcycles, working on cars and going to car shows.

Surviving Mr. Evans are his wife, Cynthia Carver Evans of the home; daughters, Danielle Yelton and husband, William of Marion, Harley Hodge and husband, Jovan of Austin, TX, Daphne Evans of Smithfield, NC and Audrey Evans of FL; step-sons Ricky Skipper of Rutherfordton, NC, Tommy Smith and Timmy Smith of Marion, NC; 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; two brothers, Clifford Evans of Fayetteville, NC and Douglas Evans and wife, Donna of Melbourne, FL; two sisters, Valerie Speen of Puerto Rico and Julie Rambow of Savannah, GA.

A Memorial Service will be held privately at a later date.
