Johnny Wayne Norman

He was born February 9, 1948 in McDowell County, NC to the late Wayne B. Norman and Hazel Johnson Norman. He was a member of the Gospel Mission Church in Covington, GA and at the time of his death he was working as a truck driver for Accuity Brands/Lithonia Lighting of Conyers, GA.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Norman; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Johnson; his wife, Nancy Pressley Norman.

Mr. Norman is survived by three sons, Shane Norman, Stephen Norman and Matthew Norman; one brother, Ron Norman and wife, Cindy; aunts and uncles, Arlene Greene, Jean Hensley, Betty Moody and husband, Leonard, Marietta Ross and husband, Tom, Loree Poteat, Elaine Kask and husband, Larry, and J.C. Norman and wife, Connie; a cousin, Beverly Norman Bell; other aunts and uncles, Jim Johnson, Bobby Johnson, Linda Johnson, Edna Johnson and Scottie Johnson. Grandchildren; Corey Lee Norman, Tessa Norman, and Kyle Norman.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 21, 2011 in McCall Memorial Chapel at Kirksey Funeral Home in Marion, NC with Rev. Gayle Brown of Oteen Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at McDowell Memorial Park.
