Margaret Jeanette (Pittman) Elliott

Margaret was born December 17, 1940 in Buncombe County, NC to the late Floyd Pittman and Josie Wheeler Pittman. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and for the last several years had been attending Pleasant Gardens Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her daughter, Teresa Fisher and her brother, Charles Pittman.

Left behind to cherish Margaret’s memory are one daughter, Tammy Meadows (Ted), one brother, Cecil Pittman (Nikki); three sisters, Hazel Hensley, Sylvia Vess and Francis Parker (Howard); one sister-in-law, Shirley Pittman; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Friday, June 21, 2019 at Kirksey Funeral Chapel in Old Fort. A funeral service to celebrate Margaret’s life will follow at 12:00 PM with Rev. Jeffrey Parker and Rev. Charles Hughes officiating. Burial will follow the service at Bethlehem Community Cemetery.
