Marshall L. Walker

Marshall L. Walker, age 60, of Marion, NC died Friday, February 18, 2011 at his residence. He was born July 14, 1950 in McDowell County, NC to the late Harold “Bull” Walker and Nancy Ledford Walker. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by four sisters, Janice Walker Koon, Dianne Walker Severt, Delores Walker Crocker and Miriam Walker Mercell.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Revonda Duncan Walker; three sons, Ronnie Walker and wife, Kim of Old Fort, Jeremy Walker of Marion and Andrew Walker and wife, Danielle of Marion; one grandson, Ryan Walker of Old Fort; a very special niece, Mandy Mercell McCurry and husband, Corey; three sisters, Imogene Walker Poole and husband, Dale of Marion, Linda Walker of Marion, and Sharon Walker Smith and husband, Ted of Old Fort; two brothers, James Walker and Larry Walker of Old Fort; one beloved brother-in-law, Chuck Mercell of Nebo; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at Grace Community Church in Old Fort. A memorial service will follow at 6:00 PM at the church with Dr. Jerry Lewis and Rev. Ricky Mason officiating.
