Mary Mcallister

Mary Alice McAllister, age 63, of Marion, went to be with the Lord Monday, Dec. 6, 2010 at Hospice of Rutherford County. She was born on July 14, 1947 in Avery County, to the late Edgar William Ledford Sr. and Clarice Franklin Ledford. Mrs. McAllister was a member of Hicks Memorial Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Grayson Lee McAllister; granddaughter, Kelly Ledbetter; fiancée, Claude McMahan; two brothers, David Ledford and Ray Ledford. Surviving Mrs. McAllister are a son, Carl Ledbetter; two daughters, Kimberly Webb, husband Billy, of Morganton, Arla Morton, husband Ron, of Marion; six brothers, William Ledford, wife Carol, of Nebo, Clay Ledford, wife Helen, of Nebo, Dallas Ledford of Marion, George Ledford of Marion, Sammy Ledford, wife Linda, of Nebo, Billy Ledford of Jonas Ridge; four sisters, Carolyn Gaddy, husband Sid Jr., of Nebo, Rachel Ray, husband Clarence, of Asheville, Lillie White, husband Danny, of Marion, Linda Davis, husband Ronnie, of Morganton; and seven grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. at Hankins Baptist Church on Saturday Dec. 11, 2010. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kirksey Funeral Home 69 N.
