Michael Maynard Webb, 71, of Old Fort, NC, passed away unexpectedly at his residence, on Wednesday, September 27, 2017.

Mr. Webb was born in Palm Beach County, FL on October 18, 1945, to the late Donald Arthur Webb and Mildred Pierce-Vibert.

Mr. Webb served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corps. After his service to our country, he worked in maintenance for the Forestry Service and in the town of Black Mountain. He also was a self-employed mason.

Mr. Webb was a private man who loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and had a love for traveling to Alaska. He also was quite a good cook and loved to cook steaks on the grill.

Most of all, he loved his family dearly.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his step-father, Edgar Pierce and a daughter, Sara Webb.

Surviving Mr. Webb are his wife of 30 years, Alyce Webb, of Old Fort; daughters, Samantha (Emily) Webb of Old Fort and Michelle Webb, of Charlotte, NC; a step-daughter, Brandi (Brandon) Fore, of Marion; a step-son, Charles Bishop, of Asheville; a brother, Don Webb of Palm Beach, FL; a sister, Holly Pierce, of Palm Beach, FL; grandchildren, Christian Bishop, Logan Fore, Taylor Fore, Madison Fore, Jackson Fore, Kalem Harry and Kaden Hollifield; and his beloved dog, Cookie.

Memorialization will be by cremation. The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
