Robert Edward Moore Sr.

He was born August 7, 1950 in Buncombe County, NC to Myrtle Earwood Owenby of Rutherfordton, NC and to the late, Fred Lee Moore, Sr. Robert was the most giving man with a good sense of humor. He liked to fish and hang out with his friends.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife, Teresa Ramsey Moore; one brother, Howard Moore; and two sisters, Doris Maynor and Alva Wilson.

Surviving Robert are his wife, Virginia Sparks Moore of the home; two sons, Robert Moore, Jr. and wife, Tami of Lincolnton, NC and John Moore and wife, Hannah of Bessemer City, NC; two daughters, Patricia Mullis and husband, Tim of Gastonia, NC and Teresa Smith and husband, Shane of Shelby, NC; three step-children, David Ramsey, Jennifer Spicer and Melissa Moore; three brothers, Bobby Moore, Fred Moore, Jr. and Bill Biddix; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins; and many, many friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church (Polk County) with Rev. Warren Elliott and Rev. Todd Lawter officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
