

He was born December 15, 1954 in McDowell County, NC to the late “Carl” Hazel Cauthen and Cordelia “Lee” Gibbs Cauthen. Stan was a member of Fork Creek Baptist Church in Rutherford County. He loved his family more than anything and he also enjoyed anything to do with cars.
Surviving Stan are his wife, Pearl Fowler Cauthen; two daughters, Susan Hensley of Vale, NC and Sharon Lane and husband, Randy of Rutherfordton, NC; three brothers, Doug Cauthen and wife, Lois, of Marion, NC, Steve Cauthen and wife, Renee of Old Fort, NC and Bill Cauthen of Oklahoma; one sister, Pat Baker of Charlotte, NC; four grandchildren, Travis Lane, Josh Lane and wife, Alisia, Heather Hudson and boyfriend, Troy Lingerfelt and Amanda Pendley and husband, James; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Missy. Also surviving are special friends, Norman Belle, Floyd Riddle, Will Cook and Neil Carver.
A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, November 23, 2015 in McCall Memorial Chapel at Kirksey Funeral Home in Marion, NC with Rev. Billy Cogdell officiating. Burial will follow at Fork Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Rutherford County. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
