
Carl C. Pursifull, 91 of Markle passed away at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, February 14, 2014 at his residence. Carl was a Truck Driver for many years and then worked for Wayne Metal for over 35 years retiring as Shipping Foreman. He was a 1942 graduate of West Rock Creek High school. Carl was a veteran of the U.S. Army, where he drove heavy trucks, serving in WWII in Normandy and other European locations.
He was born on May 22, 1922 in Allen County, the son of Doyle Sr. and Pearl (Minnick) Pursifull.
He was united in marriage to Joan M. Sieberns on March 19, 1952 in Markle. His wife survives.
Additional survivors include four daughters: Marilyn J. (Wayne) Butts of San Antonio, TX., Maxine “Max” (Don) Hinshaw of Bluffton, Rebecca (Jeff) Souder of Warren and Sarah A. Kirkpatrick of Markle; Two sons: Gene ( Jennefer) Pursifull of Markleville and Alan Pursifull of Huntington; Three brothers: Loyal Pursifull of Markle, Jim Pursifull of Minnesota and Vern (Martha) Pursifull of Huntington; Nine grandchildren, Two step grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren
He was preceded in death by a brother: Doyle Pursifull Jr.; two sisters: Geraldine Scher and Barbara Scarborough.
Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Noon at the Marion National Cemetery, 1700 East 38th St., Marion, Indiana, with Military Rites and Pastor Scott Nedberg officiating.
