

Imagean Bonner, 86 of Huntington passed away at 11:22 p.m. on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at the Heritage of Huntington. She was a 1943 graduate of West Rock Creek High School. Imagean was a homemaker; she was a member of the Markle United Methodist Church where she was a member of the choir for many years. She worked in a tomato factory and had worked as a telephone operator. She volunteered at Markle Healthcare for many years. She enjoyed flowers and gardening, especially zennia’s and irises. She helped her husband on the farm for many years.
She was born on March 9, 1926 in Huntington, the daughter of Bart and Neva (First) Benson.
She was united in marriage to Carl I. Bonner on December 30, 1945 at Markle United Methodist Church. He preceded her in death on March 10, 2012.
Survivors include two sons: Mark Bonner of Huntington; Brian Bonner of Greenwood; three daughters: Darlene Chaffin of Delta Junction, Alaska; Linda Beck of Markle; Carla Hebert of Huntington; one brother: Buddy Benson of Elgin, SC; nine grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.
A brother: Donnie Wayne Benson preceded her in death.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 17, 2012 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee Street, Markle, Indiana.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel with Rev. Steven McPeek officiating.
Interment will be at the Star of Hope Cemetery.
