Janice Kay Rice, 84, of Markle passed away on Wednesday June 11, 2025 at Lutheran Hospital. Janice was a 1958 graduate of East Union High School. She had worked as a claims analyst for Gateway Medical Resource Alliance. Janice loved to read, travel, and enjoyed antiquing. She was a member of the National Toothpick Holder Society.
Janice was born on September 27, 1940 in Fort Wayne. A daughter of the late George and June (Lund) Corell.
She was united in marriage to William Rice on April 13, 1963 in Markle. He survives in Markle.
Additional survivors are two sons: Greg Rice of Markle, and Douglas Rice of Markle; a daughter: Dawn (Shannon) Morgan of Markle; three brothers: Jerry (Dorothy) Corell of Arizona, Larry (Joyce) Corell of Angola, and James Corell of Fort Wayne; four grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
To honor Janice's wishes there will be no public services at this time.
