Jeffrey Clark Myers, 70, passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at his residence. Jeff volunteered for over 20 years for the Norwell Band programs. He served as their "Field General" for the Marching Knights' pit crew and in various other capacities along the way. He helped mold the lives of hundreds of young Band students in his time serving at Norwell. He spent his working career at Hobart Food Equipment for 40 plus years. Jeff was a rocket enthusiast who was very excited about the future of space travel. He was a kindhearted, selfless man that went above and beyond to help others.
Jeff was born on September 11, 1951 in Cleveland, Ohio, the son of the late Dale and Katheryn (Clark) Myers
He was united in marriage to Janet Ginty on June 25, 1977 in Fort Wayne. She preceded him in death on November 5, 2020.
Survivors include a daughter: Joni (Kevin) Kline of Fort Wayne; two sons: Jeffrey (Sara) Myers of Greenville South Carolina, and Justin Myers of Fort Wayne; a brother: Dick (Kathy) Myers of Shelbyville IN; a stepsister: Judith (Paul) Rogers-Larocca of the Villages Florida; and four grandchildren: Emily Mills, Camden Kline, Jaxson Kline, and Lucas Kline.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and a sister: Tina Dearing.
A Gathering of Family and Friends to honor both Jeff and Janet will be held on Tuesday February 1, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana. We will be following the CDC’s and Indiana’s Health guidelines.
