Pledge, as she was known by, was the nicest most upbeat person I have ever known. I have many wonderful memories since she was my Aunt and always lived close. I think you could say she was the Manager of the Fisher family. I'm sorry I had to miss her memorial. With a severely handicapped daughter, I couldn't chance bringing Covit19 back home. My condolences to her family. We loved her too.

"Auntie Pedge" always looked out for us like family. She and my mom, Colleen, seemed more like sisters than friends, and we shared a lot of good times between the two families. I'll always remember wearing the Dutch Maid clothing she sold, family vacations together, like the Toledo Zoo, hot dog pizza, and her great pies that showed up at so many of our family events. No matter the occasion, it was always more fun if Pedge was there. She was living proof that success is not determined by what you accomplish, but by what you do for those around you.

I always loved the days when I walked into our kitchen and found Pedge helping my grandma or my mother prepare for some kind of event. Seeing her meant two things: I was about to have a full dose of uplifting, witty banter and some of Pedge's famous pie. One thing I've learned from Pedge (besides the persuasive power of pie) is the importance of presence. She never skipped a beat to show up for the women in my family and that impact continues to embolden me as a strong, independent woman. While Pedge will be sorely missed, her presence continues on.
