Vicki L. Davis Jenks

Vicki L. Jenks, 65 of Markle passed away at 3:47 p.m. on Friday, November 2, 2012 at Lutheran Hospital. Vicki worked as a 911 emergency dispatcher until her retirement. She was a member of several organizations including The Indiana Sheriffs Association, Retired Public Employees, and was an associate member of the Fraternal Order of Police. Vicki enjoyed doing arts and crafts and was avid about her crochet, cross stitch, and needle point. She also showed interest in oil painting and ceramics.

Vicki was born on May 5, 1947 in Wells County, a Daughter of Obert G. and Betty j. (Ormsby) Davis.

She was united in marriage to Larry Jenks on September 16, 1967 in Huntington County. Her husband survives.

Additional survivors include two sons: Brian (Debbie) Jenks of Ft. Wayne, and Christopher “Melissa” Jenks of Indianapolis; one Sister: Susan “Mark” Jenks of Ft. Wayne, two grandchildren, and one great grand child. She was preceded in death by one sister: Rita Hochsetler of Ft. Wayne.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 9, 2012 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel, 415 N. Lee Street, Markle, Indiana.

The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 9, 2012 at 6:00p.m. at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 415 N. Lee Street, Markle, Indiana..
