Ben J. Markowski

Benjamin J. Markowski, 86, passed away surrounded by family Saturday May 4, 2019 in Waco, Texas. Funeral Services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, May 9, 2019 at Adams Funeral Home with Pastor Donald Fulton officiating burial to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation at Adams Funeral Home from 6-8 P.M. Wednesday, May 8, 2019.

Ben was born March 30, 1933 to Bill and Alice (Slafka) Markowski in Bremond. Ben Married Shirley (Wilson) on November 15, 1958 and celebrated 60 years of marriage. He retired from Marlin Fire Department with 35 years of service and served in the Army stationed in Germany.

Benjamin J. Markowski was preceded in death by Son Kirk Markowski, Parents, Brothers Edmond and Fred, Sister Helen Louise Burda and In-Law’s John and Callie Wilson.

Survivors include Wife Shirley, Son Pee-Wee Markowski, Daughter Mary Jane Markowski, Grandaughter Callie Burgess and Husband Cory, Great Granddaughter Cadence and Great Grandson Camden, Brothers Ronnie, Stanley and wife Bonnie, Sisters Patsy Nemec and JoAn Slafka, Sister-In-Laws Edmond’s wife Evelyn and Fred’s Wife Evelyn, Sister-In-Laws Annie Ethel Tebo and Husband Ernie and Nancy Wilson,

and many Nieces and Nephews.

The family would like to thank Dr. Kiehl and Dr. Smith with Baylor Scott and White, the staff at Wesley Woods and Providence Hospice for the loving care given to Ben.
