

Louise was born on July 28, 1943, in Bremond, Texas to Grady and Willie Mae Cooper. As a youngster, she along with her eleven brothers and sisters picked cotton as a family as sharecroppers in various communities around the area. In her young adulthood, she was a homemaker before working as a seamstress at the Mart Sewing Factory. From there she worked as cashier at various grocery and convenience stores before landing as cashier at McCoys Building Supply in Bryan, Texas. During this time, she also managed West Trucking, a trucking company owned by her and her husband, Jerry West, whom she met in the early 1970’s and married in April 1974 and had shared forty years of marriage at the time of his passing. She enjoyed cooking and baking and was known for her banana pudding and peanut butter cookies. She also enjoyed sewing and craft making. She made most of her own clothes and loved making homemade stuffed dolls and animals as gifts for others, especially Micky and Minnie Mouse dolls.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry West, her parents Grady and Willie Mae Cooper, her sisters, Lillie Douglas, Vivian Steel, Margaret Cooper, Janette Norman, and brothers, Albert Cooper, Lyndall Cooper, W.B. Cooper, D’Wayne Cooper.
Survivors include her sons, William Marice Kluck and husband Bubba Toman of Brenham, Raymond Glen Kluck of Hearne, and Justin Wayne West and wife Veronica of Axtell, special niece Judy (Norman) Bass and husband Roy of Groesbeck, sisters, Virginia and husband Jerry Russum of Bryan, and Ona and husband Dean Owens of Huntsville, and brother Grady Cooper and wife Brenda of Streetman. Grandchildren Leyla, Ashley, Trenton, Jacob, Makensie, Kristian, Madison, and Riley, and numerous nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Brent Morgan, Jack Perez, Charles Andrews, Donald West, Michael Loper, Chris Andrews, and Bubba Toman.
Visitation will be held at Adams Funeral Home, located at 129 Coleman Street, Marlin, Texas, 76661, on December 3, 2025, starting at 9:00 am.
A graveside service will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, located at 266 FM 147, Marlin, Texas, 76661, on December 3, 2025, starting at 11:00 am.
