

Esther Carline Moore, 89, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2016. She was born December 22, 1926 to Martha “Mattie” Mueller Miller and Karl Frederich Wilhelm “Charlie” Miller. (Her father passed away two months before she was born.) Esther married her soulmate, L. D. Moore, in Cego, Texas on April 11, 1947. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents and siblings, Arthur Miller, Ben Miller, Pete Miller, Adolph Miller, Raymond Miller, Gertrude Huber, Lydia Krause, and Elfrieda Miller who passed away at the age of four.
Esther was a long time employee of the gas company and member of the First United Methodist Church of Marlin. She was most at home in her kitchen, baking bread, cookies, cakes, coffee cake and cinnamon rolls from recipes past down from her own mother. She enjoyed needle work and quilting. She lovingly made unique quilts for each of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Milton D. Moore and wife, Betty, Don C. Moore and wife, Donna, Kathleen Mach and husband Tom, and Candace Rhymes and husband, Jimmy. “Nana” will be deeply missed by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her seven grandchildren include Becky Moore Seibert and husband, Trent, Misty Mach Weihs and husband, Tyson, L. David Moore M.D. and wife, Gayle, Brett Mach and wife, Katherine, Sara Moore and fiancé, James Lynaugh, Kallie Moore, and Madeline Rhymes. She is survived by five great-grandchildren; Jacob Seibert, Jackson Seibert, Wyatt Weihs, Margaret Mach and Karlene Moore. Other surviving family include: brother-in-law, Aubrey Lee Moore, and wife, Joan, sisters-in law, Alma Miller and husband, Eddie Burge, as well as Duretha Tull Neumann and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Gayland Moore, Lester Krause, Leonard Miller, Charles Miller, L. David Moore, MD and T. Brett Mach.
The Family will receive friends Friday, September 16, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Adams Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church in Marlin with internment following at St. Paul’s Cego Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Marlin or a charity of your choice.
