Ferdinand "Fan" Voges

Ferdinand "Fan" Voges, 83 of Riesel, entered into rest Friday, November 18, 2011. Services will be 10:00 am Monday, November 21, 2011 at Friedens United Church of Christ in Riesel with Rev. Paul Sabov officiating. Burail will follow in the Friedens Cemetery. Vistitation will be Sunday from 4pm to 6pm at Adams Funeral Home in Marlin.

Ferdinand was born January 30, 1928 in Riesel to Will Carl and Minnie Mary Loewe Voges. He was retired from General Tire. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean War. He loved to farm, ranch, fish, hunt and do carpentry, but mostly he loved his grand children. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Ralph Voges on Octoer 18, 2003 and three brothers.

Survivors include his wife Evelyn; son, Gordon Voges and wife Patti; daughter, Phyllis Neumann and husband Jimmy; daughter-in-law, Juaquite Voges; sister, Frieda Kattner; grandchildren, Holly Ainsworth and husband David; Natalie Vogas and fiance Joe Terry; Jacob Voges, Samantha Voges, Cody Stein and wife Meradith; Misty Groschke and husband David and 7 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Friedens Church Memorial Fund, 109 S Wiebusch, Riesel, TX 76682.
