Frances L Short

Funeral Services will 10:00a.m., Friday, December 11, at Adams Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Waite Cemetery in Reagan, Texas. The Family will receive friends 6 to 8p.m., Thursday, December 10 at the funeral home.

Frances was born October 12, 1930 in Reagan, Texas Homer, Sr. and Lucy V. (Adams) Swinnea. She worked for Falls Community Hospital for over 50 years. Frances attended the Gospel Lighthouse church for many years. She was like the mother of the church said by many of the members. Frances was a good Christian woman who will be missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 63 years, O.M. “Mike” Short, and daughter, Deborah Lynn Thigpen.

Survivors include her son, Tim Short; Grandsons, Jason Thigpen and wife Patricia and Todd Thigpen and wife Necy; adopted grandson, Jacob Holland and wife Erin; 7 great-grandchildren; brothers, Homer Swinnea, Jr. and Robert Marion Swinnea; sister-in-law, Annette Spadora and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Marie Maas for her loving care for Frances in these last 2 years.
